Copy and paste into Apple Mail
Copy and paste works with any mail account and needs no connection to your mail platform: each person does it once, from their own signature page. A person reaches it from their invitation, or by signing in to signplume. An admin can open anyone's from the eye button (View signature) on People.
Mail on a Mac
- On the signature page, press Copy signature.
- Open Mail, then Mail → Settings → Signatures.
- Select your account and choose + to add a signature.
- Untick Always match my default message font, so the pasted styling is kept.
- Select the placeholder text on the right and paste (Cmd+V).
- Choose the new signature as the account's default in the Choose Signature menu below.
If the images do not show, check Mail → Settings → Privacy: remote content must not be blocked.
Mail on an iPhone or iPad
- Open the signature page in Safari on the device and tap Copy signature.
- Open Settings, then Mail → Signature (in recent versions of iOS, Apps → Mail → Signature).
- Clear the text that is there, then touch and hold the field and tap Paste.
- If the formatting looks plain after pasting, shake the device and tap Undo: iOS puts the original formatting back.
iOS uses one signature for every account unless you choose Per Account at the top of the Signature screen.
After it is pasted
Press Mark it installed on the signature page; an admin can also press Mark installed on People. signplume cannot see a pasted signature, so it shows as copy and paste, marked installed, and never counts as signing. Marking one does finish the Setup guide's step Get signatures into mailboxes.
A pasted signature does not change by itself. After a new logo, a new job title or a new campaign banner, open the signature page again, copy and paste it again.
