Campaigns
Campaigns (/admin/campaigns) schedules promotional banners in your signatures. While a campaign is live, everyone it targets carries its banner instead of the brand banner set on Brand.
Click tracking
With Click tracking on, signature links (banners, the booking button, the website and social links) go through signplume, so clicks are counted per campaign and read on Reports. It never stores who clicked: no addresses, no IP addresses, no cookies. Switch it off and links go straight to where they point.
Create a campaign
- Name it.
- Banners: upload one or more images (PNG, JPEG or GIF; animation is kept). Each can have its own click link and alt text.
- Run as an A/B split test needs exactly two banners. Everyone you target is assigned A or B and keeps it, so each person always shows the same banner, and Reports compares the two.
- Add UTM tags to the banner link adds
utm_source=email-signature,utm_medium=emailandutm_campaign=with the campaign's name, unless the link already has autm_parameter of its own. - Schedule: a start and an end date. Leave one blank for an open end; dates are inclusive and read in UTC. Where campaigns overlap, the higher Priority wins.
- Audience: the whole organisation, or named departments, people and groups. Groups come from your directory sync, and Google organisational units are listed among them, marked "(organisational unit)".
The list shows each campaign's banner, audience, window and priority, and whether it is Active now, Scheduled or Ended. Edit and Delete are on each row.
When a banner shows up
- With the Outlook add-in or the relay, from the next message after the campaign starts.
- With Gmail push, on the first push after it starts, and it is taken out on the first push after it ends.
- A copied-and-pasted signature shows a campaign only if the person copies and pastes it again while the campaign is live.
